Well I happened to see an 08 xB in person the other day while waiting to be picked up after school. The instant I saw it, I bursted into laughs :D It was just really rediculous looking, like an ugly concept car that somehow made it through to the consumers market.

I'm not that hot on the old xB design, and even less on the new one. But you just gotta test drive to see what you like. You're the one making the payments. ;)

Though we are shopping for a used xB for my 17yo younger brother -- he needs economical hauling space around town (drum set). Or a used Matrix. But I digress...

In my opinion, the new xB looks like someone shoved an old xB into a tC

Wrong Turn

Both the xB and the xD seem to be taking design inspiration from the Dodge Magnum--truly one of the most repulsive automobiles released in my lifetime. I shudder at the idea of little Magnums proliferating on our highways and streets!

I saw the new version of the xB at the Chicago Auto Show. Since then I have seen a few on the road.

I think that Scion really missed it with this one. It looks like that Chevy retro car.

Heavily customized the xB can be made to look better, but from the dealer, the Fit wins the styling contest hands down.

I believe the Fit to be significantly lighter as well, so the fun to drive factor probably can't be matched by the Scion either.

For me, the fit wins. When I get a new car, The Fit Sport MT is the front runner!

You'd be better off comparing the new XB to the CRV. Similar fuel economy and size.

Saw one the other day at the dealer. VERY BIG. VERY VERY BIG. And rounded, not squared off like before. I'm sure it is fine but the Fit is a totally different vehicle concept.

please keep in mind

plz keep in mind that in 2008 the gas milage is rated differently the fit is not rated 32/38 any more it is more like 30/35 and if you take the old xb it is now someplace like 28/31 and the new xb is like 22/28 thats actually not a bad loss in mpg considering the huge difference in engine size and weight however i will agree that there was something very pure about the original xb and the fact that it was all squared and boxy was the best part now it is just conforming to every other car comming out..

When I test drove a few scions, they just felt cheap to me. The feels and looks like recycled cardboard XD (as in haha, not as in a model).
Regardless, the fit is a great, fun an economical ride.
