Starting to look into a second vehical for the future, just wondering if anybody bought or driven the new Element SC? Might be nice to have a faimily of Honda's in the garage :)

Anyway just trolling for comments.... Driving Impressions? Are these any good for towing smaller items? Pet Peeves about it?

my mom and i are ABSOLUTELY in love w/ the SC. it looks sooo nice!! havne't driven it but my mom is definitely considering trading her camry in for it.

 

theyre badass! I love the look of them! never have driven them but plan on buying one soon

 

I like them. I'd like to get into one.

 

I have not driven the SC but I do own an Element in addition to the Fit. The Element is like the big brother to the Fit. I feel environmentally responsible owning these two Hondas. You can fit almost anything in the Element. I highly recommend it.

 

I was considering the Infiniti G35 or maybe the new BMW 335i, but I may need a vehical with some light towing capability instead. Not to mention I have always liked the upright feel of an SUV.

How do you find the visibility in it?

 

I have been a long-time member of elementownersclub.com and have owned 2 Elements before. The Sc rides very comparable to those, you feel the road a little bit more with the bigger rims/tires. Pros--- can fit a small car with the large cargo capacity, can haul smaller trailers and what-not(1500lbs.) Decent on gas mileage. virtually unstoppable in snow(4WD version). Cons---only four seats, the SC only has 2WD ( if you encounter snow often, you will definetely want the 4WD Element) One thing to remember is if all you are looking at is the styling differences of the SC compared to the regular Element, most parts can be swapped for the SC look, while getting the 4WD of the regular E. One more thing---the seatbelts are now integrated into the seat itself, and quite a few people have complained about the seatbelts digging into their necks. So you would need to test drive one for at least a half and hour and see if that would be a problem.
