Long-Term Road Tests - 2008 Scion xB: Who Needs a Truck?
This article is hard to believe at first, but it makes sense. Basically a 12 foot kayak fits better in a fit (and xB) than in a chevy silverado with a 6ft bed.
The author doesn't explain how this is possible, but I can guess why. In a truck, you can only use the length of the bed. In long mode in te Fit and xB, the length is defined as the front most part of the car (since you can use the passenger seat) to the back of the car. Overall, this covers more length than the truck.
