01 prelude
Hi. My brother just got a used 01 honda prelude with the vtec engine,
h22... that's about all I can think of just now. Being the computer person
in the family, I was asked to look up on the internet what I could find that
he could do to it.
It's his first foreign car, and he loves it so far. He's mostly interested
in engine mods... he isn't too thrilled about the body kits that make a car
look fast, he wants power. He already put on some racing wheels of some
sort, can't remember exactly what but it looks sweet.
We're both good with cars and engine work, but haven't done anything to a
foreign vehicle yet. SO..
Are there any supercharger kits for this thing? I do believe I've seen a
turbocharger for them before... ya I know the difference. What would you
people recommend? Brands would be good also.
Not interested in NOS or anything like that, I beleive a turbo system would
be about all you could do, with headers and exhaust and intake and all that
(no k&n please). Again we're new to hondas, so any suggestions would be
great. Also anyplace I can read on my own, I'd love to know about.

Personally I wouldn't turbocharge but take a look here
http://www.theoldone.com/ for good in-depth articles, with great pics, more
oriented to engine building and super-charging... which I also wouldn't
touch. I prefer longevity.:-)

I left my 01 stock. At 200 hp from 2.2 ltrs, the car performs quite well
enough. Most Prelude owners who choose to go with headers, intake systems
and so forth -- and even hotter cams. There are various owner groups for
the Prelude -- a Google search will find them for you.

Re: 01 prelude
Thank you both for your input on this topic... I appreciate the pointers on
where to go with this thing. He actually traded in his 03 dodge ram 1500
(hemi) for this thing, a friend has an Acura Integra GSR and my bro seems to
have caught the bug from him.
He let me drive it today, and I'm better with a stick than he is, for now.
I must say I am impressed with the way it handles. I couldn't imagine
soupin' this thing up to 300 horsepower like his friend has suggested.
Thanks again
