...or am i just getting my hopes up?

don't make honda out to be so innocent. honda has always been about value, and that should extend to their sport compacts as well.

honda KNOWS how much the us would love a type r. but not giving us is the only thing keeping 'jdm pride' going. and they 'know' that too.

if honda were to bring a type r here it STILL SHOULD NOT be as expensive as the mugen si. sure, like any other performance specialty vehcile, it should be limited to a few, but it should also still be accessible; not a limited edition, but an elite version of a lesser stock car.

so the mugen badge doesn't even have a edition number. lame-er than expected.

again, you can like the way this car looks, as i do, but not agree with the ridiculousness in price.

So theres only 1000 of them. People keep bringing that up when others talk about the price. Theres only around 1500 of 4WS Mx-6's. Very few are in the states. I know the price tag was around the same price as that Si. (crazy in 1989)

But at least the Mx-6's added some go with the turbo motor. And I got one thing that Si dont have. Oscillating AC vents!! And what?!! And 4WS, errr and a turbo. Hahaha.
100% agreed.

sure! let the mugen si be 30k! i have no issues with that!.....

...as long as you DID something on a MECHANICAL level and not just AESTHETICALLY! and no a bigger exhaust that adds 2hp to the wheels and springs and shocks that give a slight drop do NOT count.

I enjoy harsh rides. I love when people bitch about the Fit when its lowered and its bouncy.

I want my ride to be harsher!!!!!

ofcourse they do. but the insideline review i read on the mugen stated that the anti roll bars are the same and that the shocks and struts are a bit stiffer.

i'm sure it handles great, but does it handle 10k better than the stock si? probably not. actually, i'm positive it doesn't.

lets not forget you can get a really, really good suspension and set of tires for a hell of a lot less.

Why dont you just take the springs out completly and put some cement bricks in there! There would be 0 body role!

I agree with everyone else on the price. That is WAY to much for a civic. STi or EVO anyone?

Of course the Fit!! But we are comparing price wise.... and there are so many better options than a 30K+ Civic.

Deez- I'm talking about a KraftWerks supercharged S2000!

Oscar Jr.- haha that was just me asking you indirectly for more info on the supercharger kit for the fit. ^_^ but yes, totally right. 30k+ Civic with mostly just aesthetic upgrades puts it in a price bracket where other alternatives seem more rational.
