Seat HP lists it as 2.0 TSI 177 kw / 240 hp, so more than likely it's the same engine. they also list a 2.0 fsi, but the output is much lower than even the GTi.

Ciburri: I know the BTCC Seats well, that's how I got turned on to them. Great series to watch if you like real paintswapping racing. Also good proof that FF cars can make fine racers if properly engineered.

Tell me about it Chikubi! Nobody up front has mirrors or door handless past the first turn! Three wide in the rain leaning on each other! Sideways in an FF car at 100+mph! LOL!
Duke Video is my best friend since before Speed started showing it. Ever since I left Europe I have been dying to watch Touring cars and WRC. WRC on Speed made me so happy while it lasted! Back to Duke and DVD's instead of VHS tapes! My wife treated me on LA Car Show with an unofficial WRC 2006 review!
I have transfered my VHS tapes to DVD and I still watch them, crappy picture and all. Touring cars with Volvo 850 estates, Alfa 155,..... Tarquini on two wheels! WRC reviews with Saintz, Burns, McRae, Makkinen,.....
TT Isle of Man, too. I would love to drive a good car through it!
Man we need to spread the word on FitFreak. Most of the members do not even know what we are talking about. They are missing a lot!

hmm...it sounds like it might be that twin turboed/supercharged engine they have, but with much higher output. (obviously because the engine is bigger too, the tsi they have in the golf is only a 1.4 making 170, so with a little tuning and displacement increased to 2.0 i can def 240. take that mazdaspeed 3!:D )
