My demister doesn't work just when you
needed it most. In the morning or evening,
when its cold outside, if I try to switch the
demister on, it won't work. However, I noticed
if I drive during the mid-day or afternoon,
when its not as cold. I can switch the demister on.

And ideas what's wrong with it ?

Can I assume you're talking about the rear window defogger?

Got your email... and I would have to agree that the relay was an
unlikely cause. I would concentrate my search on connectors. Connectors
are always a likely souce of electrical problems. I would look first at
the plug-in connectors at the switch, relay, and rear window heating
grid.
