its interesting for sure, but not a project i'd ever invest anything into.
it should be called 'how to take the honda out of a honda'.
there are much faster civics ,using real honda engines no less, than this.
a low 11 second quarter mile? you can get a flat 13 out of a k swapped hatch for a lot less coin, and more time in your hands.
but whatever floats his boat. he's got the means.

Haha I was behind the Civette in that video and it did lose traction....on the highway lol!! ****er was all over the place.
This is a friend of mine, Travis. Really nice, down to earth kinda guy.
Let me say, the car pulls like no Civic I've ever seen. And he drifts it. Long slow powerslides. Try that with a turbo-k series.

Yeah but a K-Series swap is not RWD. With Hondata, Race Header, CAI and exhaust a K swapped hatch can hit 12's very easily. Put some drag radials or slicks on and have some real fun. But its still not RWD drive nor sound like that. That hatch would be faster if it could hook up. Another thing it didnt cost him much since he did all the work himself. Also originality is a bonus.
sound? meh, different strokes for different folks. I'll never be able to make my fit look like an a narrow angle VW six, but that comes with the territory. and that is a lot of work for just a sound.
like the above poster said, he has major major traction issues, so rwd has become a novelty...something so that he can just 'say' he has a rwd civic. but as evidenced, it offers no real advantage, as there are civics making even more to the wheels with turboed b series and its not as much work.
you just can't get past was a car was orginally intended for.
originality? yeah he def gets points for that...but then again, how original is the concept of stuffing a big engine into a small, light car? sure, he took a lot of time to do it, i'm just saying if i had the know-how and time i'd probably invest in something else.
i think his drifting abilities have more to do with what wheels are driving the car, and not so much the fact that its a v-8.
Thx for posting the pics to go with the short video clip!!! It just looks MEAN.
