Sorry for no update, I have been really busy at work. No time for my mostly yellow car. I stopped painting after I took pics, and stripped all the weather stripping and glass because the masking tape had an epic failure. It will be a while before i can put it back together ($600 for weather strip) but I plan to continue/ finish the paining this weekend. There are a couple of more recent pics on my del Sol's Cardomain page located here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3016630

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!!
Go to my cardomain page :p

I started to paint my jambs, and my roof is ready for final sanding then buffing. Also, I'm pulling the interior on Wednesday 4/30/08 to properly jamb the car.

Most of the exterior is still just chilling from the last wet sand about a week ago. I was having issues with the edges of body panels so I put everything on hold until I could straighten that out.

As far as the $50 paint job, I'm up to $62. I figure thats just inflation tho :p I did mess up the mix on a roof coat and ended up with the surface of the moon:

But I sanded from 400-1000 grit and got it smooth. Then laid down 2 more coats of properly mixed paint and everything is back on track.
This is what a fresh coat of rolled on Rustoleum looks like:

Here is after 10 minutes, a little orange peel, but it does buff out very nicely. :
