Curious about automatic window

I had my '03 Accord in for 30,000-mi servicing and mentioned a
dashboard squeak. They replaced and A pillar and the rubberized ring
around the driver's window. It did nothing whatsoever for the squeak,
but it did result in the auto-up and auto-down function on that window
not working. The window still raised and lowered manually just fine.
On the third day after their "repair," the feature started working
again without any intervention.

I'm just curious about what might have caused this transient loss of
function.

Not sure about your Accord but most Honda's with Auto up after the
battery has been disconnected must do 1 or 2 cycles up and down without
interruption to 'learn' where the top is. Sounds like this is what you did.

I think that would explain it perfectly. They must have disconnected
the wiring during the installation of that window channel. Interesting
information. Thanks.
