FIT size vs. '79 Accord?

First question of the Forum--

I've determined that the Scion Xa is quite close to the L, W & H of a FIT, but what about the early 4-door Accord-- is the FIT longer? It's obviously taller, but what about wider? Anybody got the specs on the early Accord?

Thanks,
Bill Lakatos

The Fit is shorter, but wider, taller and heavier than all 1979 trim levels...

1979 Accord
Trim - EX-L (4 door)/EX-L (3 door)/GF (4 door)/GL (3 door)/SL (4 door)
Length - 175.2"/166.5"/170.9"/162.2"/170.1"
Width - 63.8"/63.8"/63.8"/63.8"/63.8"
Height - 52.8"/52.8"/52.8"/52.8"/52.8"
Weight - 2127lb/2061lbs/2061lbs/1984lbs/2050lbs

2007 Fit
Trim - Base/Sport
Length - 157.4"/157.4"
Width - 66.2"/66.2"
Height - 60"/60"
Weight - 2432/2471

All weights assume 5pd manual transmission

Don't forget fuel economy specs.
I'm sure everybody wants to know how much more mileage the accord gets.
