fit vs ep3
fit vs ep3
Hey folks, I posted this same query over at honda-tech and was wondering what the Fit pros thought. I have a '07 sport 5-speed white on black with 29,000 miles, but lately have been wishing I had no car payment at all, or little as possible. I found a real nice '04 Si ep3 with 34,000 miles 1 owner clean title and so on. Both very unique cars in my eyes. I've also got a 3 year old, so the 4-door does make it a bit easier. So I guess I'm just wondering if you nice people have any thoughts?
if you like steering feel the ep will dissapoint.
the fits eps= exemplary
the eps eps= vauge
not to mentiont that the fit has better body roll control.
the ep however is faster in a straight line (pretty signficantly too) and grips better.
and its a bolt on k20ar engine way from true greatness. but you can never get passed that damn steering unless you find a type r steering rack.
you can safely supercharge these those and run low 14's all day.
this may sound kinda mean, but the ep3 was the non-honda mans honda....it came out when the fast and the furious was poplular, so anyone wanting to get into the car modding thing looked at that car as the prime way to do it. hence why you will find so many 02-03 ep3's modded, and most of the time not in a good way.
but there are some very nice examples of them, but the price of admission to greatness in those things is NOT cheap. but when they are done well, they are NICE.
but the fit is just as cool, for different reasons. no one ever bought an ep3 for the handling unless they had plans to make it on par with its jdm and edm type r counterparts. the fit on the other hand attracted buyers BECAUSE of its great out-of-the-box handling.

yep i agree plus i know for sure the EP3 wont have any of the features like the Fit you cant really compare the EP3 to the Fit unless youre talking about power... yet an EP3 is not event that strong anyways mighta well get a DC5 now that i might have to think twice between the Fit or the DC5 =P but other than that FIT FTW! =D
I had an EP3 for 2 years and my daughter was 7 months old when I got it. The trunk was really roomy to put the stroller in but the access to the back seat was kind of tight. If you we're to add F/I to your Fit you would probably be better off than having an EP3. I now have a 15 months old son and my daughter is 6. I wouldn't trade my Fit for an EP3...
Either way, I'd say the Fit > EP3. The interior of the last generation Civics suck (I used to own one). Fit is much quieter and comfortable. 4 doors is also better than two.
i used to drive an EP3... now im driving a GD3. it's more reliable for me & better gas mileage. not a pain for trying to carry more than 2 people hehehe the only thing that sets the EP3 apart from the GD3 is the engine, then everything is GD3>EP3... thats just for me though...
