VW 1.4L with variable supercharger + turbo

First, the hard link (scroll down to "160-PS TSI in detail")

Golf VI In Depth Press Materials - 70 new photos added!

Finally, someone made a belt-driven supercharger with variable ratio. Not only that, it's clutched to fully disengage (at 3500 rpms), plus it has a turbo. It has it all.

Unfortunately, we all know hell will freeze over before this 158HP engine + 7-speed DSG is ever sold in the USA. We'll get the gas-guzzling 2.5L and 2.0T probably.

hahahaha, VW and Audi have a 3 year shelf life before self destruction, especially the electrical system. I would love to see them engineer a car that doesn't blow out a headlamp every few months. Once they tackle that they can try to twincharge a car
