I have the S2k and Bike for fun. And that's what they should be for. I've daily driven the S2k as well as tracked it, and I'll tell you - driving on the street is not fun in the S. I feel like I'm in a rush all the time in it, gas sucks, and it's not really practical. I found myself getting lazy to go "normal" places like the gym or the store because it was too much of an event everytime I drove it.
Keep the Fit, and once you can afford it, go with the S2k, they're perfect compliment for each other. Fit for the week, S for weekends.

Well i can afford this one right here now. So do u think that 80k miles is ok. I don't know to much about hondas? I hear the last forever and that is why i choose the Fit as a DD so right now i can keep the fit as my DD and get this S2K for weekends. Its just that i have done a lot to my fit now and i would not be able to do much to the S2K till next year. So is that a good price for its millage

My 01 Grand am had 113K miles on it and I drove it cross country a couple times. Not comparing as apples to apples or anything but this thing has some serious miles for a sports car. If you are dead set on getting it see if they have a service history on it, or at least do a Carfax. It would be unfortunate to invest that kind of money, whether it be 10 or 12 thousand into a car that has a spotty service history, and ultimately takes a dump on you. And to answer your question the price does seem a bit high. The car is being sold by an auto wholesaler, which means the car was probably traded in on something else and the dealership didn't think they would sell it, and sold it at auction. Strike one. Second they are jacking up the price about $2500 more than what a private seller would sell for. Here is a link to private party value in the same zip code.

And here is the link to what that dealership probably payed for it.

Hope this helps.

yeah you can get the same price for an 02 with less miles. Try as much as possible to get an 02+, the 00-01 came with the ugly plastic rear window, carpet center console, no tweeters, and a few other things that slip my mind right now. Basically try to get an 02+ but there are plenty on the market, you just have to look right. Check out S2ki, there's usually a few up for sale at a time.
