I feel like a traitor :(

well I was gonna buy a fit... even went as far as getting approved by honda for financing(which I wound up not needing anyways) but i went to look and other companies and wound up buying... a cobalt. seems like quite a stretch but it was too good of deal to pass. a $23,000 car for $15,000, the extra 40 hp and countless features, like a sunroof!, plus no annoying gas peddle(my only problem with the fit)... I had to... sure it's not even close to as reliable(which I definately am worried about) but insurance is way cheaper and it cost me less than a dx but has more features than a sport. still, I miss my civic and still want the fit

yeah dude the savings are ridiculous.

if given the choice between a new cobalt and a new ge8, i would take the cobalt.....as long as it was a two door ss in black. :)

It's a good deal as long as the Cobalt doesn't end up giving you craps later on.

My roommate bought a Cobalt LT a couple of months after I bought my Fit. I love my Fit, and I wouldn't trade my Honda for a Chevy, but I have to admit, it's a sharp car! His is the 2-door coupe in bright (and I do mean bright) yellow! He paid almost $2,000 less than I did for my Fit, but he has lots of extras that I wish the Fit had. The one thing I'm most jealous of is the remote start! I'm saving up to put one on my Fit now!

I will not dog you for your choice in new cars, which takes every ounce of will-power I possess. Congrats on the new car, continue to make smart economic choices for a few more years and you won't have to settle for a "government motors" car because the price was right.

I will dog you for your choice in vehicles. because i am legally entitled to as a friend and a fellow Canadian. Kind of wished you bought the Focus but eh, it's all good. i am pretty excited to hear the about the repair bills :)

Oh and P.S.

you know how my wheel speed sensor is toast? i put my car on my uncle's hoist and there is absolutely no evidence of it getting ripped it off from something on the road, the wires aren't frayed. i remember mike said that when they took the stock springs out they let the the beam just swing, and they didn't disconnect anything. so i'm assuming thats what ripped the connector out and mike lied to me lol
