I kinda like the OEM spoiler :P

I'm going to go all-motor by way of rebuilding this b16 with upgraded pistons, valves and springs, retainers, i/h/e, etc I'm aiming for around 200whp I don't want to be speed racer. Just comfortably fast.

update: UPS arrived with JDM taillights, got them installed. For those who don't know, here is the difference:

JDM

USDM

See the ugly side reflector on the USDM? Deleted :) What it means is that if you're perpendicular to my car at night, you won't see my lights. Potentially more dangerous, but it looks cleaner IMO

Wow! You got one! Congratulations!

Looks great.

Only thing I'd be worried about with little Yoshi is running over small children attracted by the dangly toy.

I used to have problems with my VW when I first got it (bought it used), it had problems going into first gear too. I don't remember what it was that just needed adjusting, but it was quick and cheap to fix and never had to be adjusted again while I owned the car (over 15 years).

Maybe your car needs whatever that adjustment is too.

Looking forward to reading more about your new car and what you do with it!

Taffeta, was it a shifter bushing? Or synchro? Maybe I need a trans rebuild. Or it might be cheaper to just get a new tranny.

That "shifter bushing" sounds about right. It was well under $100 to fix.

congrats on the purchase man!

its nice to have a car you are happy with, as oppossed to a car you feel you need to constantly do stuff to to address its shortcomings.

you need to score one of those rare jdm power hardtops. :)

A trans-top would piss me off actually lol. I can remove/put on my roof quicker than the transtop could. I'm not fat and lazy lol. I'll change up the wheels after winter. Can't decide if I want the same green wheels again, or black lightweight RPF1s. Taffeta I'll look into getting/installing a shifter bushing. I hope it's not too difficult for me lol. And eldaino yeah, with the Fit I always ALWAYS felt like what I did wasn't enough. I would always look at it and not be happy. I loved it, but I was never satisfied. Maybe that's how I am with every car though.

Sounds like what happens when I try to replace the vacuum cleaner belt. It seems too dadgum small and despite the suggestion for the bushing, I am not going to start lifting weights to put on vacuum cleaner belts. Ha!

Hey, take your time. Shoot for NEXT summer as having many of the things done. Work on it during the winter months.

Perhaps planning a road trip for about a year from now. Late summer and autumn weather is great most places. Days aren't too short, nor too hot. You can really enjoy the sites and scenery both during the day and at night via your convertible.

Mine was a del sol S with 187000 miles. It had a del sol Si engine in it (D16Z6) with 130000 miles, intake, header, exhaust, white powdercoated GSR rims, but no working horn, AC, or airbags. It also burned oil like a mofo and had a weird problem where it would stall out sometimes, but only if I had a passenger in the car (maybe a short near the ECU). I sold it for $1500 the day before I bought the Fit.
