Progress on the Caddy!

After wasting most of this past summer I have made large strides on the restomodification of my 40 Cadillac in the last few weeks. The mobile dolly that she was sitting on is gone, the rear end is on the eastern shore being rebuilt, the back half of the sheet-metal is in primer, the frame has been cleaned and rust-proofed, and best of all, after a year of sitting I fired the motor on Sunday! Lord how I missed the rumble of that old flathead.... Anyway for any who care here are some crappy, closed garage pics, more to come.....

Someone who drove it very sparingly I'm sure, she gets about 10 MPG on a good day. I hope to have her back on her wheels and rolling by early spring, I'm going to Hershey Oct 7-8 looking for spring shackles, bushings and a rear stabilizer bolt set. If I can find those items I'll be able to install the rear end and reassemble the suspension. With the amount of Bondo and rust i've removed already, I may see 13MPG someday LOL
