Kia Forte koup looks like a civic?

The search feature sucks when using my iPhone so sorry if this is a repost. However I am shocked at how close the forte looks like the civic coupe. Maybe even looks better? Anybody else seeing this?

I looked at the info that they compared it to the civic and tc and must say the info doesn't seem completely accurate for the civic. They compared the 2.4L to the R18. They said that Bluetooth, stability, 4 wheel discs, XM radio, and a few other things are not available on the civic. I think the EX has most of those options. However, the price point is there. A 10yr/100k warranty at $176xx seems decent. I saw a review video on youtube and the interior looks rather cheap, which seems like most Kias. I like the civic setup much better. I know I am basing this on purely internet video and pictures but I would rather have a civic than the kia, although the Kia does have some nice options for someone on a budget.

I think that's the first thought that popped into everyone's heads when the first pictures were released. At least that was the case for me anyways.

yah, the first concept pictures appeared like a civic's front but that side shot just screams KIA. so not really.

Looks like a nice car....

I think the Koreans have made great strides in the quality of their automobiles. Many magazines state they have surpassed the Big 3 in quality and are rivaling many of Japan's finest for quality. The Forte looks like a great car, and healthy competition isn't a bad thing. I think it's a good looking car too.
I don't think it looks that similar to a civic. Many think the Chevy Aveo looks similar to the Fit, but there again, I don't see anything similar except the 5 door hatchback layout.

I really really hate how Kia/Hyundai will blatantly rip off other auto manufacturer's designs. Cases in point, the topic of this thread, plus these others:

Jaguar S Type:

Hyundai Sonata

Honda Accord

Another Hyundai Sonata

Haha, you are totally right about the accord and sonata. :) Haven't noticed before.
