I took a camera on a trip once in an airplane. I took some pics with it. Then I flew back. The pics flew with me.

138 hp from a 1.4 litre turbo aint bad at all. its almost making 100hp per litre. (this is the same amount of power a lot of fits are making at the crank with light turbo or supercharging.)

i dont love the overwrought looks, but its better than what they have been offering.

is the 1.6ecoboost for the fiesta confirmed? or is that just wishful thinking? because not even the new focus is getting an eco boost engine this side of the pond yet.

Ford is saying that the ecoboost will eventually come to the Fiesta.

Aveo Concept

2010 Detroit Auto Show: 2011 Chevrolet Aveo RS Concept - Green Car Reports

Sorry to bring up a dead thread, but i just saw this article today, and wanted to tack it on here...

The concept looks a lot more interesting than the current Aveo and I wonder which options will show up on the actual car.

I also wonder if it will spur Honda to make changes to the 2012 and beyond Fits...like Turbo/Supercharging, leather, better lower grill (prevent condensor damage), etc.

Which plant was that again? Lol, why were you a salesman for only 10 days?

Since the Aveo is a Korean car (although the next version is supposedly going to be built in Michigan), and Fits are built at two plants in Japan, that would certainly be surprising. I'm sure glad I didn't buy a car from you.

My motto!

Everything should be turbocharged! It makes things better and more fuel efficient (when used properly)

Imagine our Fits with another 50 ft/lbs of torque, it would move the car off of the line a bit easier, thus not needing to get high into the rpm band. Then if you wanted to "enjoy" the car from time to time you could keep your foot buried and enjoy things!

As far as the Aveo RS goes, about 75% of the car isn't making it to production but I don't understand why everyone is raggin' on the car, its pretty aggressive lookin' to me but there you go.

Those who say you'll never buy domestic, your being like the dinasours from the 60's saying that. We've made strides in perf sport compacts, heck, do any of you guys remember or have heard of the Omni GLH/GLH-S, Spirit R/T, Daytona IROC. Seems like Mopar was the only one really developing things back then, too bad GM didn't do more with the Quad 4 and Ford with the 2.3L turbo, they both had alot invested into them, that's for sure.

it was longer then 10 days i was jk, no longer sales because if half the people knew how bad they were getting screwed odds are they wouldnt like it so i couldnt lie and scam people out, they had a car for sale that was scratched all down the passenger side so they decided to throw a graphics on it cover it up then charge $500 for the graphics, but the funny thing is i heard that from a general sales manager with 20yrs in the business, figured hes been there so long he knew everything

It looks ok... but lets face it, I doubt anyone will want to go from a Honda to a Chevy. A car like the fit is used for its economical purpose and alongside this agenda, the car will be used for years by the average consumer. For as long as I will keep my fit, I want the brand with the highest and proven reliability.

I'll believe it when I see it on the streets. I doubt those large, fancy rims will be production.

The rear bumper with the centered exhaust is cool, but it will also probably be like the Fit and become an accessory item. And that front grille? Garish. It looks like an old Chrysler Concorde grille.

The worst part of all is that HUGE, GINORMOUS Chevy logo. "Hello, my car is a billboard."

I'll never purchase another domestic car again, so I'm overly biased. And negative. Time for bed. ;)

I purchase vehicles based on the merits of each, regardless of the brand logo. I think competition brings out the best in vehicles and every car company has a bright spot somewhere. I like the fit for a lot of reasons, but to think that honda has the best vehicle for every category is not very observant. I mean, if you think a front-wheel drive TRUCK is a good idea, then I guess you could pick a ridgeline, but chevy and ford both make far superior trucks. Same goes for every other class.

I think the car looks pretty decent but being a Chevy is enough to keep me from buying one.

Hmm not bad looking, but with a turbocharger means more moving parts. Had turbo once, it was alright, but too many moving parts & I don't know if you can use regular fuel on this too. I usually call the Aveo the fail, but it doesn't look it to me.
