Chevrolet Spark... Look familiar?

Here is an exert from Car and Driver: We thought we'd have a little fun with the (larger) 1.2-liter engine but were rather disappointed with its real-life performance. The claimed 0-to-62-mph time of 12.1 seconds seems optimistic, and reaching the 102-mph—ungoverned!—top speed would take at least an eon and a half. Trust us—unless you own a runway as long as Peru is tall, you won't ever see triple-digit speeds. In an attempt at “speed,” you end up shifting all the time without much result. The abusively low levels of power are a bummer, because the chassis actually is rather competent, but you won’t find its limits with this engine.

I have brought the Chevrolet Spark last year.....I m in love with this car because of its great features...I can say it gives you Comfortable drive on bumpy roads, good fuel economy to save money, gives average of 80 kmpl and on highways of 100 kmpl.
I m feeling proud to own this Chevrolet Spark.

This thread has been posted almost a year ago and sorry for late posting. Just wanna make some point about the chevy spark which was only present in the automotive world lately. Not actually fond of driving chevy but I could say, this is one of the best hatchbacks I’ve ever seen in my history of driving. And despite the controversies this model had encountered during the launching, many people still recognized its beauty and performance. First of all is with the M300 which has a vertigo green color and is equipped with a dramatically transmission and engine (turbocharged )…Im not again the performance it has earned sales in several countries in most especially in United States. Not only spark were being paid attention by the dealer but also the importance of replacement Chevy parts to drivers around the world.

yah, wat sucks is while it's a little metro car, you still pay full parking price downtown. hahaha. rather have a bigger more sporty car if playing full price.
this reminds me of when i was driving out of an airport parking lot with the Fit. the guy at the gate said i should only have to pay half price cause my car's so little. :D

I know this is an old post but below is yesterday's article from USA Today. I don't think Honda has anything to worry about with this model. I'll paraphrase the only good feature IMO that I wish our Fits had:

Spark lets you use your phone to power a navigation system, projecting the map and directions onto the car's screen and giving you turn-by-turn instructions.
Pandora and Stitcher radio apps are embedded in the car. And next year, the setup will be compatible with TuneIn Radio..
So, plenty of tech, just not much of it involves the driving feel of the car.

i think it's more for someone looking at used cars but might be able to afford this new one on a lease...kinda car..(?)
Fit might fit the same bill, but on the higher end of the lowest end. if that makes any sense.

The smart money says buy a gently used low mileage Fit Sport rather than a brand new fully optioned Spark. Less money, more power, better handling, more room, better reliability, more fun to drive, not a GM product, etc, etc.
