I love these guys! I work with a donated car program and also coordinate car repairs for clients. Listen to them whenever I get a chance.

love the fit!

I enjoy their show immensely. They LOVE the Honda Fit too! The mere mention of the Fit get's them raving!

I enjoy their show, even though they're super LIBS! I always hear them comment on cars with over 200 hp being a waste of time, gas and not needed. Enough with that talk and all the bashing of American cars, wake up! We've made strides in quality and they just keep on bashing. Sure, I own a Honda and love it, but their bias is unbelievable sometimes.

Now onto the 3rd half of the thread, LOL

Such a great show, although i usually miss it. Memories from when i was little listening to it with my dad. Wait, wait don't tell me is good as well. Parents just went to a taping a month or so ago.

I can understand your POV, but I've always read them as being practically minded and interestingly opinionated.

Sort of like; "Sure you can do that, but really - why would you want to."

Been a longtime fan and always try to catch 'em. I mean, the lonely heart advice makes it all worth while.

This is REAL bi-partisnship, just without the uncomfortable sitting next to one another, LOL! I try and catch their show whenever possible, pretty funny.....STUUUUUUMP....THE CHUUUUUMP!

I get thier show via Podcast, and usually listen to it on Monday morning commuting to work. Love it, even when I disagree with them. They have a sense of humor that I appreciate. It is, in many ways, the same premise that makes Top Gear (the Brit version) so popular: Its NOT a car show. Its an entertainment show that happens to also have cars. Folks can listen to it that care nothing about cars, and feel that thier time has been spent well.

I do not subscribe to many podcasts. Most of them are horrible. But car talk I get every week.

I've been listening for many years and try not to miss them. We are lucky the local paper carriers it every Monday in print! I have to say that they really make me laugh at some of their comments.

I too catch them in the paper as well as radio when possible. I think their relaxed, comedic yet intellectual and perhaps liberal approach to cars is refreshing. They ARE truly unique in car world!

I haven't heard them comment on the Fit. Do they like the GE8 as well as the GD?

Funny how you never see the word "intellectual" and the word "conservative" being related to one another.

The fit's pretty "green" (liberal) and I MIGHT be driving it for a decade to come (conservative). The Fit walks the "fiscal responsibility" line beautifully. Low cost per mile! Perhaps the car is "moderate".

I don't know about that... When you hear the words, liberal or conservative these days it is always in reference to politics.... All of the people around these parts that support so called conservative politicians drive very expensive trucks and SUVs... The political liberals are the ones that work on their cars, shop wisely, grow gardens, eat the deer they kill or hogs they raise.... It seems to me that people have these labels misappropriated.

Agreed- to me "conserve" means using what you have and not wasting-i.e preserve the planet & resources--which are "green" values. Although in politics, Dems are supposed to be the spend thrifts and Repubs the ones who are more fiscally responsible (at least when it comes to social programs) - but all these traditional definitions have changed with the emergence of the religious right. Can't figure where to put the tea party folks, but at least conservative when it comes to interpretation of the Constitution.

We're seeing traditional stereotypes change in a new world order. The appearance of the tea party can be attributed to 21st century global communication. Same thing is going on in Tunisia and Egypt and helped bring down the old USSR and break it to pieces. The 'folks' - namely all of us - are all talking together. What was once referred to as 'power to the people' might very well be upon us. Once the word gets out it's hard going back.

Conservatives going green and liberals... well it's hard to see what the liberals are up to.

Yep it is hard to see what is such a minuscule part of the population.... Anything that isn't right wing extremist is referred to as socialist and moderates are all God hating, bleeding heart commies.... We are almost to the point of having the kind of system of corporate controlled socialism as Hitler and numerous U.S. supporters of his were striving to have.... They hated commies too.... It has always amused me how the same people that introduced and funded the Federal Reserve System also funded the Bolshevik Revolution.
