If only I didn't need a car now.

I'd have to do a lot of thinking and a lot of research, but the revamped 15k 150hp 2006 vw rabbit doesn't sound bad. But, its crappy 20mpg in town 30mpg highway leaves me still loving the Fit. Other sites say it has the top safety rating in its class. What I don't get is thats its not even on the vw website or msn.com autos. What do y'all think?

pls move to comparisons thread, my bad.

The new rabbit actually looks pretty nice. Different class than the Fit though.

Definitely a contender if the reliability is decent.

unless fuel prices triple or you drive 100 miles/day then fuel prices dont make that much of a difference.

and yes the new vw rabbit looks good, as does the honda civic Si sedan.

New Vehicle-Actually runs on Gatorade...

I just purchased this vehicle and it actually runs on Gatorade or any other sports drink. It will even run on water !

www.easyracers.com

Check out the "Tour Easy"

Actually I am in the market for either the Scion XB or the Honda FIT. I like the Honda Fit and the ability to add a trailer hitch...yes...you read correctly a trailer hitch...to mount my bike rack for the "tour easy". The dealer indicated that the hitch put on locally will support the rack, and its only about $150.
The Scion xB will also support a trailer hitch...but I will have to cut a square into the bumper since the back bumper is so low. So I am leaning towards the fit.

My size is another variable. I am 6'1" and #295....so I actually "FIT" in a Fit. Before getting in I looked at the car....then kind of wondered if I would fit in it....without buttering up the door and putting a twinkie on the dashboard. Actually there was room to spare. The Scion...well not so well.
Anyway, about a 30-60 day wait for one to show up in Wisconsin...but only a $100 deposit. Think I will get a Red, Orange, or White. I could actually get 2 for the price my wife paid for her Honda Odyssey !
