Matt's Project DC4
#81
After a 3-year hiatus, I finally got back on the track with my new Project DC4. Back in 2009 at Buttonwillow Raceway Park, my PB in my old DB8 was 2:24.xxx. Yesterday in the DC4, I managed a new PB of 2:14.xxx. Can't wait to get back out there and shave off a couple of more seconds!

Here are a couple of photos of DJ from the 626 Monthly Thursday Night Meet at The Hat in Temple City that I host every last Thursday of the month. Photos were taken by Danny Nguyen from JDM Zip Ties.
Buttonwillow dirt and dust everywhere, don't care.

Thanks bro! For sure man. Actually, a few friends and I are heading up to Thunderhill Raceway Park on Friday, October 12. You should go! Northern California Racing Club is hosting the event.

Can you send me info for cost and such?! AutoX has been fun, but the Fit is paid for and I'm itching for a trackday!!!

I just realized that I didn't post this photo of the Mishimoto radiator cap that I got a couple of weeks ago. It came with a cool tin can, which is probably the nicest packaging you'll ever see when you order an aftermarket radiator cap. Thanks Mishimoto!

The Project Mu Club Racer front brake pads finally came in last week. Today, I ordered Centric C-TEK brake rotors all around as well as a Goodridge G-Stop stainless steel brake line kit. Just need to install everything and get an alignment, then I'll be all set for Thunderhill!

The days before a track event are always so stressful... And of course, I wouldn't be me if I didn't do last minture preparations.
Tonight: Pick up track numbers
Tomorrow: Change motor oil, MTF, and install brakes
Thursday morning: Alignment and pack up
Friday: Race day!

The STi starting braking way too early. He was mad riding his brakes too. I was hoping to get a point-by, but decided to pass him at the least minute. I didn't want to dive bomb him. Haha! Best time was a 2:20.337. After that, I was clocking consistent 2:21s.
