HONDA to release 1.6L Turbo i-DTEC engine

We revealed the new 1.6-litre i-DTEC engine at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, alongside the highly anticipated NSX concept.

It's the first drive train from Honda's new Earth Dreams Technology engine series set to be introduced in the new European Civic later in 2012.

I thought the N16 already existed? This just sounds like a lighter material was used for the block.

Cool none the less.

That would have some ridiculous torque and gas mileage numbers, you could actually tow stuff with your Fit!

Please don't post things like this....and get my hopes up! It makes me sick that we don't get motors like this over here.

For the guy getting 28mpg...something is wrong. I average, AVERAGE 37.6 mpg. My worst tank, absolute worst, was 32mpg and my best was 43.
