Ford introduces Mountune upgrades for the Focus ST & Fiesta ST

Inexpensive upgrades that carry with factory warranty.

Produces up to 275 HP (202 kW)

Ford has introduced a Mountune upgrade package for the Fiesta ST and Focus ST.
The Fiesta ST is equipped with a new air box (with a secondary inlet), a high-flow air filter and an optimized ECU. These changes enable the 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine to produce 215 HP (158 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds which is 0.2 seconds faster than the standard model.
Likewise, the Focus ST is equipped with a cast alloy inlet duct, a larger alloy intercooler, a high-flow air filter and an optimized ECU. Thanks to the modifications, the turbocharged 2.0-liter Ecoboost engine produces 275 HP (202 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The extra oomph enables the model to run from 0-100 km/h in less than six seconds.
The Mountune upgrade can be installed in less than 90 minutes and pricing starts at £599 for the Fiesta ST and £1,225 for the Focus ST.

Fuuuu....n :D

I test drove both Ford ST's at a local arrive and drive AutoX style event... and was impressed.

Fiesta is claustrophobic cabin wise though when compared to either Fit, but MAN... BOOOOOSTUUUUU!!!!

I think if I were in high school, the Fiesta would seem ideal to me. Of course, that price is as out of reach as a $10,000 car for a high schooler in my family so I guess that would be a nonstarter :P

And as we know once a man is past the age of 28 he may no longer park a hot hatch in his driveway that is not a VW GTI (and he'd be foolish to select a VW anyway). Oh well :)

Top Gear BBC did a comparison of hot hatches in the first episode this season and love the Fiesta ST the UK version has less HP then the US version.

It has been quite a while since Ford offer a 2 door version of even the Focus. I remember the first generation two door was actually thinking of getting one when they were first out. I do not understand why they do not offer the two door here. VW does with the GTI.
