I'm not that big into drag racing. I want to be able to drive it anywhere at anytime.
Much like my truck was. 600hp in a 2wd truck, I drove it with snow and ice on the road just fine.
He'll if I wouldn't have drove it to the store it wouldn't have got sold.
I'm just going to build it up a little. Do what I think the car will need. I wouldn't mind something like 250-400 hp and be able to drive in traffic without an issue.
I don't like trailer queens and weekend cars.
Maybe a good b motor, a small snail and some good sticky tires. And keep it around until someone wants it more. But I can't get ahead of myself.
haven't bought it yet. I don't really want to spend all the money on it either. Maybe do a best bang for my buck build. Research out what others have done and see their results. See if I like it and go from there.
We'll see. About an hour left at work and I can go check it out. I'm off tomorrow so I'm going to get the thing on a lift and go through it with a super extra fine toothed comb for issues.

Well that's definitely a road well traveled, tons of information out there to help you decide what to do with it. Should be a fun build.
Make sure you send the old lady this way for advice about her new Fit haha

Well the car is at my house. There's no rust I can see, but the lift is tomorrow.
I realized who this lady is and her last name is Castrucci. Now, there's a Honda dealer with that same name and she said it was her sons. I don't think this little Del Sol will have any issues because of that.
It has a whopping 135k on it. My GD3 has more. It runs really well considering it's 20 years old, shifts fine. I mean, basically it's SUPER well maintained car for it's age. I got lucky.

And big update here...
First thing first, the car was in an accident but you can only tell because the trunk has some welding done inside.
The car has some rust and it's big . It's underneath bytthe firewall and passenger side strut tower. So I took it back and told her I wasn't interested.
Found out about an auction today. Bought a 01 civic with a clean carfax and no rust. The interior is stripped aside from the front seats. Has an exhaust and cut springs. Only cost 2300 bucks because no one else wanted it. Needs paint though.
So the plan now is k24/k20. I had one of these before. So it's easy for the k20 swap because of the ep3. Wanted To Do It Back then but the aftermarket wasn't that popular with it in 2004ish.
Since its gutted I plan on keeping it that way. I'll just use something like lizard skin. It's sound and heat deadening. It'll be the floor inside. I might get into auto cross with it.
No pics yet. Still dealing with the title shit on the car. I own it just need to do paperwork.
So 01 civic coupe auto. I don't think it'll be hard to make it a manual since I won't be using the original motor at all or hardly anything from the factory underhood. I might go all motor until I feel it needs more.
now time to wait on parts to come
