op- nice, i had a 1994 ex coupe back in the days and luved the thing. unfortunately for me, the thing was nothing but bad luck one after the other in accidents. things flying into it while I was just driving down the hwy, getting hit in parking lots while I was gone like 7-8x. was like thing is cursed! and these weren't like any small ding like 'accidents' either. they were at least 500 in damages all needing insurance claims.

so i sold it for another honda only after like a yr and half of ownership. haha

the 'senior' honda in my household is my 09 fit-sport my wife uses. i think we're going to trade it in next month for either a crv, impreza, or rogue.

I still have my first car, a 97 civic hatch, that I picked up in late 98. It has about 59k miles on it and hasn't been started up since 2003. Coincidentally, I was told today that it did turn over just fine with a new battery.

Thanks. The story behind the S2K only gets better. The pic is in the driveway of the original owner from when I test drove the car - when he asked me to keep it under 3500 RPM. His house, was nice, but not huge, and had unfinished trim. Across the large driveway was a normal 2-car garage for his wife's Honda and Acura . That stone-trimmed garage in the background is his own beautiful 4+ car garage with this S2K, his hybrid Civic daily driver, an early Tundra, and Kubota tractor. The S2K was pristine, on wheel dollies. The huge polished wood "workbench", garage floor, Tundra, and Kubota were all clean enough to eat from.

O wow! that is like a time capsule! Really cool no one has them any more. And it being this original is huge find, what's the story behind the car? Was it a relative's or is it one you came across?
That's the best part of any collected car is the story that comes with it!

I'm the original owner, I bought it new in September 1980. The car is always in the garage. I just drive it to the beach on weekends. Most everything on the car has been replaced. The engine and transmission are original. The car has one hundred twenty one thousand miles on it.

My OTHER Honda

I bought this '98 Civic while awaiting delivery of my '12 Sport. I'd been waiting about 5 months, (and pretty much exhausted a string of "loaners", LOL!!) and after cleaning, maintenance, (notice wheel upgrade from my totaled '07)etc. I hadn't driven it a week, when the call came to tell me the new Fit had arrived!!

I suggested that my wife buy a used Element instead of a Fit, but the prices of decent used Es were stupid high. I think she chose well for her needs.

I'll snap some pictures this weekend if the weather permits of my other Honda. It's a RB1 Odyssey Absolute. This has a K24 with the DC5R head from factory. It's rated at 200ps, could use a bit more since it weighs approximately 1750kg, almost twice as much as my Fit. :) Actually just today purchased some mirror-face MF10s for it. Currently riding on CE28s with Blizzaks. Other wheels for it are some SSR TypeF's in gold.

PM me, or bring it bring it to the head of the class Perrenoud Fit, but I would love to know what "410 is right Fitster the Civic you have with a drop and some rims and low pro tires and you set dawg!" is telling me; the Civic is my better half's ride, and if I understand you correctly, some additional touches would be worth a ponder!

My dad actually just had to call it quits on his 2001 TL yesterday. Needed some work done and the parts alone were worth more than the value of the car, he ran that into the grrrrround. It had a good life.

He just picked up a 2010 accord, v6 with all trimmings. Very nice, love the burgundy color. Can't wait to drive it. ;)

Still have the 02 Civic Si... still needs to have its clutch replaced and then it'll probably go up for sale.

I also have an '88 CRX Si that is my daily driver. Never asks for anything but gas and oil, though I'm starting to think seriously about getting the rear fenders patched (again). Or I'll just keep driving it until it completely falls apart.

Oil consumption has been an issue with our '96 Civic and our trusted mechanics at Atlanta Auto Pro have done their best to close things up, but we are at about one qt. per month ('Black Benitavo' has forgiven us for the unforgivable on more than one occasion). How goes your '88 CRX for oil consumption?

I had to let go of my 00 TL last year, I was paranoid of the transmission dying again and the increased ethanol in gas around here was causing issues
