2009 CR-V A/C Compressor Help/Advice
Hi everyone,
My wife's CR-V is blowing warm air intermittently and it seems to be getting worse over time. New refrigerant was added but did not help. Our local mechanic quoted us between 600 and 1200 bucks depending on whether it is just the clutch or the entire compressor. $1200 seems pretty expensive to me considering the compressor on hondaautomotiveparts.com is only $400 plus shipping and Rockauto.com has one for $297.
Even if they were charging $500 for the compressor that's still $700 in labor. Does that seem right?
Has anyone had their compressor replaced regardless of make and model and if so how much did it cost for the entire job?
I've never had this service done on any car I've owned so I have nothing to compare it to.
Thanks,
-Sean
