Big 2x tip

The tip for this ride has really been an issue for me.
The one i ordered was too long so i traded jimmy for one he has in stock, but i don't like it, it's it's like a stock one and thats not this car. So ... here's the answer:

2, 3" ss tips
After buffing with white rouge and polish

Nice detail

Looks like a corvette tip. It just barely fits in the opening. Perfect.

So what do you do when it rains? I bake.

Fresh out of the oven!

The sparkplug cover is paint over water.

the intake is red, getta lot of off the wall remarks on it but it was 17.00 with all the hardware included,
So ya I love it! ha ha

2 Notes:
I was surprised when I took the valve cover off and removed the gasket to find no RTV anywhere!
And No oil leaks anywhere either.

The Skunk2 valve cover fasteners are cool BUT DO NOT over tighten
the 12mm nuts under the sparkplug cover. As these are a fancy nut with a short stud pressed in the bottom.
Anything over snug may result in pulling the stud out of the nut......
Don't ask :D

Nice build....good to see folks still cherishing older cars for what they were, and what they can become. I wish I had the time/energy/resources :) Great thread, nice ride!!!

Skunk2 nokoff

Arrived this afternoon and wasn't 2 minutes and i was block sanding the face of it. Lol.
Started with 320 dry, wet 400, 1200, 2500, buffed put with white rouge. Polished and cleaned with lacquer thinner, and 2 coats of clear.

Close enough to the real deal, but not 115.00 thats stupid money for 1.50 worth of aluminum.

Knock knock ...

Recieved the aluminium radiator yesterday, the last part for the cooling system revival!

Have red silicone top and bottom hoses, T stat, and now the radiator. So sometime soon hot rod will be a little cooler.

Well got a "peach wood" shifter knob from ebay. And as some items are this was one of them pretty close to "Junk" (isn't that a type of ship in China? )
Well after i wet sanded all the trash out of the finish coat, then re - clear coated and let dry over night, it was time to get it on the shifter..... add stated fits Honda with a 12mm? shifter but our hondas are 10mmx1.5mm. So ground down a 10mm nut and epoxied it in place in the bottm of the knobs .... then the plastic insert cracked! so another batch of epoxy. Let it set up for 6 hours and installed gingerly till 48 hours have past to let the epoxy set up.

Good part is it matches the steering wheel spot on. So how much fun was that? Its the end results to me, lots o fun!
