First time on track - GD3

Hi guys, I am from Brazil and this is my first time on a track.
I have a stock GD3 and had some time on Interlagos Circuit

As it was my first time, I was afraid of fading and overheating the engine so I did a lot of cool down laps.

I beat the crap out of my Fit. They can take some good abuse. The only fade you may get is from the brakes but that's it. That's an inexpensive upgrade.

Next time I will try to do less cool down laps. As I don't have a temperature gauge and never been on a track I was a little afraid of it.

Just a question, how much pressure you use on the tires for a track day?

Everyone will have different psi for different tires. Plus AutoX is different then road racing.

For me with AutoX I start off at 40psi and typically go down a few psi as they heat up. Talk to Previc93 on tire pressure since he road races.

Depends on track. I usually try to keep my pressures at 36 psi hot with my 225 nt01. So ill start out at about 28 front and 30-32 rear. But remember the first lap that your tires aren't warm and that it will take a bit to get them to temp so take it easy till you feel the car do what you want. When my tires are cold usually over steers a ton so I try and take it easy.

The next morning after the event I'll check my tire pressures cold and sometimes my fronts are all down to like 23 psi or so. And usually the outside front tire is low.

Oh and side note.... I beat the crap out of my fit too and its boosted making 160 hp and 160 tq at the moment.

Just make sure all you fluids are full. I usually change the oil and transmission fluid every other event. And the brake fluid 2 times a year with ate fluid. I think I've changed the coolant once since I've owned the car and it has less that 120000 miles.
