0-60mph in 7.42 seconds

Posting this to show what your *slow* CVT is capable of doing.

Below is for a 2015 LX CVT.
I wanted to find out what our cars are capable of from 0-60mph, based on my best 1/4 mile run. This sight uses your 1/8th mile trap speed and time to tell you what your 0-60mph time would be.

Based on my best 1/8 mile drag time and speed (1/8th time of 10.258, 1/8th mile speed of 70.54mph), our cars are capable of doing 0-60mph in 7.42 seconds. This gives me the giggles. Just wanted to share....

This is all in good fun. You can take it seriously or not. I'm just trying to have fun with all this.

That's faster than a lot of "muscle cars" from my youth… (c:

Reminds me of an article a car mag did where they compared (on a closed track) a Porsche 356, Jaguar XK-E and a Honda Odyssey minivan.

The minivan won in almost every metric, often by a large factor.

Were you using 87 gas or 91? I heard some cars(like Mazda 3 or focus?) do auto timing advance when using high er octane gas

I was using 87 octane. Gas tank was virtually empty with only 20 miles range to go (Per the dash gauge). While driving home on the highway, it was empty showing '0' miles to go. I drove about 8 more miles then filled it up to a 1/4 tank with 92 octane.

I had to go with 92 octane for my next round of testing since I showed knock when testing a larger maf sensor housing. So....the next test continues later tonight (Friday night).

I read in a thread I just posted in tonight that there is some ignition advance in older model Fits as well, using higher octane. I'll see if I can find it and post a link.

Faster than my 383 4bbl Charger in '66. (7.6 in that) I knew this thing felt faster than my '10 Fit.

good time!

BTW, there is still over a gallon and a half of fuel in the tank when the range reads Zero miles.

Wow. That correlates with another post on the forum that said, at only 8.5 gallons used of the 10 gallon tank capacity, the fit says to fill up again. Nice to know one can still use the remaining 1.5 gallons if needed. I'm wondering if the mpg sensor and eco mode do not work as well with less than 1.5 gallons in the tank.

This is nice to know. Thanks! Hope I don't be dumb enough to try to cruise another 32-44 miles after it hits '0'.
