hey guys, some of you know i got into a hit and run car accident yesterday. i finally got my dad to fix it instead of getting rid of it because the fit was only insured one way.

i need....everything that is messed up in this pic



i need the door, fender, bumper, headlight, the axle, im not a car expert at all so what can you guys say i need?

body shop would be best to have it looked at.

 

You need to take this to an expert. I don't think you have the tools necessary to repair the car on your own, and even if you did it would take a significantly long time to complete the repair. You need someone to outline for you want exactly needs to be fixed. Unfortunately, the auto repair shop won't know for sure until they tear apart the damaged area and see what else is damaged underneath. Maybe you can ask them to make the repairs to the frame and axle, and you can repair the parts that only require putting on new parts. Sorry about the accident, but this is why it's a good idea to buy two way insurance if your car is still relatively new.

 

dude take it to a shop. u dont know if there may be more damage under the panels. u can only see so much from the outside.

i was just actually trying to get an estimate of the total cost....the first mechanic said 7.5k..

my dad was like screw that and brought it over to one of my friends mechanic and its staying there as of right now...

 

mechanic shop and body shop are totally different though


but your dads friend could get the parts cheaper for you

 

yea, actually the first dude was a body shop, but he charged us for all new parts...i tried looking up on all the parts and could get them for like a third cheaper than stock...i dont even care about how the car looks, i just really need a running car..i can worry about the details later.

 

andrew dang, pete and i are working on looking up parts for you. We estimated about 1.5k for most the parts already. Just missing the mirrior. Did you want new rims too?
