While I love the car and the swap, modding a car like that doesn't add value to the car, I could see a couple grand over book.. but thats almost 8 grand over private party value

Don't mean to sound like a dick but thats just a ridiculous ammount of money

I wish you the best of luck selling it, if you break even with what you spent on it you will be one lucky man

IF some one REALLY wants a K-swapped Fit, I think 20K is a some what reasonable price for a turn key K20 Fit. Used Fits are still going for $10K plus, then its another $10k-$15K for the K swap. So basically if someone is looking for a k-fit then they are looking to spend $20K+ for just a swap, thats not including other aftermarket parts.

Your assuming that money spent is value added which is not the case with ANY platform. While there are exceptions, generally you will never get what you put into a vehicle. I think he could score around ~15k for it without a problem realistically.

Im not saying that mods add value to a car, I know they dont. Am just trying to say if a person really wants a K-fit they can buy this one for $20K and have a car that is ready to go. Or they can buy a used Fit $10K-$15K, get all the parts for the swap another $10K+, wait three months or so for the swap to be complete and then any other mods they want to do.

He can ask any price he wants and if there is some one out there that wants it they will pick it up, I guess it just comes down to how fast he wants to sell it and how firm he is on the price

Well that and in the event the new owner needs to repair something and they are not particularly handy with a wrench they are pretty much boned.

Or if some electrical gremlin rears its ugly head who would they take it to? Honda? Nope.

Just because it cost X amount doesn't mean its worth that number. I know people selling 9 second cars for ~$20k.

You're right in that he can charge what he wants, it is his property. But he's not gonna sell the car at that price, and it's not the sort of thing that appreciates with age either.

With that said, GLWS

You totally understand what I think. Be honest I really want to let it go, buz I just don't like having a car that I cannot use more than 3 times a month.

I have my bottom line. Hopefully, I will get that line sooner or later.

Well, first of all thank you for everyone who gave input in here. I really don't want any fight happen in here. Does this car worth for the price who knows?? Someone should know which who love in this car will pay for the price, that person is the one have the right to say worth for the money.

Well, whoever did the swap to the Fit will know how I feel, and how much $$ that will spend. These ppl will know what is the car worth for (including the time and work on the car).

I clicked on this thread purely b/c I saw civichb20's obnoxious "WTBWTBWTB K20 FiT" thread and I noticed he posted in this one. I wanted to see how serious you were about getting a kswapped fit...but I have to laugh...you're offering 50% of asking price. LOL

OP, you're really better off parting out if you are expecting to recoup anywhere near the cost of this build. K swapped cars are selling for between $8000 and $14000 all day everyday on k20a.org. The higher end is for completely built cars...
