That's what I've picked. I think it'll be "just enough". Kinda like the theme I have for this project. Have something, have fun with it, mod a little, not too much...just enough.
I'm still interested to find out if what they're doing in Southeast Asia tuningwise will make it out this way. That's why I asked Fitdrift if he was considering going full exhaust and ECU tune.
It's tough to be near the bottom of "slow" in the four banger food chain.
But driving like "racecar", when no one is around keeps it fun.
My feelings exactly. But you never mod "just a little", once you get the bug, you're bitten lol.
Yes, an ECU and full exhaust is on my to do list within a year.
Right now I have: Work aluminum wheels for summer, Short ram intake (will convert it into a pseudo-cold air intake later) coilovers, Interior RGB and underglow RGB (because why not? it's fun and is legal here), K&N air filter, some new pedals. ... I think that's it for now unless I am forgetting something. The exhaust upgrade is on the way though. I am also installing camber bolts this weekend.
in jland mini suv's are referred to as RV (not campers as in the usa). kids go for that these days not sports cars or coupes or anything fast or cool like when us middle aged folks were young.
Couldn't wait till morning to do the install... So, broke out the tool(s), the electric fan, since it was like 90's F in the garage last night and went to work.
<15 min later. Done!

2 bolts, 2 rubber exhaust hangers, 1 jack point. One of the easiest installs I've done. (I think it takes me twice as long to take the wheels off.)
(Yes, had jackstands in place just in case. Also, a couple shots of PB Blaster on the bolts and silicone spray on the rubber hangers.)
i started using those hanger removal tools and it is sooooo awesome and easy to remove exhaust hangers!!
I gotta look into those. I find the stock rubber exhaust hangers "workable". Have you ever worked with the aftermarket polyurethane ones, like the ones made by KartBoy? Those are a like a darn capital "B".
I am not proud to say that, on our GD, I have zip ties holding up the HFP axle back.
When I installed it 6-7 years ago I didn't like how it sat. It drooped too low for my taste. Used some zip ties on the last hanger to draw it up closer to the bumper to get it where I wanted so I could measure and order the correct hanger to move it up.
Crawled under the back of the car a couple of weeks ago to change the back bumper cover and saw the zip ties. Guess I never ordered the correct hanger. Can't complain about the quality of the zip ties, but the "installer" (me) apparently sucks at finishing a job. LOL

すごい！ Great! I would like to purchase an electronic drill so I can make drilling holes or putting on or taking off bolts easier too.
Don't worry about the color so much, nobody can see down there too easily and you can always buy heat resistant paint from autoshops
by the way, please check out upgarage for JDM parts, they are a new and used car part store chain that you can find many things for your car from and they offer worldwide shipping through Croooober. That's where I bought my exhaust the other night

Here is some photos of the installation. Sorry if they are not good quality or too large. It was night. I also took some of the interior and exterior lighting, both can be changed through 16 colors and has a music, solid, and fade mode.
The lighting is controlled via remotes or I can use custom hidden on/off switches hidden underneath the dashboard with all the wiring spliced into the 12V auxiliary and the cabling running inside the center console and under the carpeting.
Can't complain about the quality of the zip ties, but the "installer" (me) apparently sucks at finishing a job. LOL
