How does it do with sucking in random stuff?

I saw Rismo2's post about snow. I live in NorCal so I have a ton of pollen in the air right now.

It'll suck things up for sure and you'll notice a little more debris than usual. I use a K&N drop in filter and wash it every 5-6K miles.. what part of Nor Cal you in? Im in Oakland. If youre close enough, maybe you might want to peep it on my car first.

Cheers!

+100 it looks like it came with the car

Pollen shouldn't be a big deal, you'll probably have to change out your filter or clean it more often.

I also found a while intact leaf during fall time.

It should be interesting when cicadas brood x comes around again. I'll probably switch back to OEM haha

I'm near Stockton so I could probably do that some time. Not too far of drive. I might be out near there next weekend visiting a friend. I'll PM you.

I barely drive because I live really close to work. I just passed 11k about a month ago.

I will probably be fine debris-wise then unless I get a new job further away but I can always swap back like Rismo2 said if it becomes an issue. I just put an ACDelco filter in last week because it's been so long but the OEM that came with the car wasn't that dirty. The cabin air filter was a different story. Stupid pollen and leaves...

Wow. I can't believe you still have a few of these available. These should've been sold out the day you posted them up.

For those that cut the flap, if you switch back and forth to OEM, what do you do about the hole you cut? Did you buy a replacement?

I think I found the replacement seal in case you want to switch back to OEM and avoid the hole that you cut

I want to see if I can make a new version of the scoop via 3d scan, 3d printing, this will be a timely project until i get the prototype down.

With work and life obligations, wont happen as fast as I would like. Stay tuned!

It came in yesterday! I installed it after I finished my oil change. It looks fantastic. You wouldn't even know it was there unless you were looking for it.

It was one I found on eBay that had the antenna. Most of the listings don't since they are fake/dummy antennas.

You just clean the area, unscrew the old antenna, screw the wire on inside the shark fin, and stick it down with the 3m tape included. I still get great reception, it might be even better than OEM. It doesn't have a perfect seal since the Fit roof is curved but it hasn't given me any issues and it's been almost a year.

Here's what my order looked like on eBay:

update:

added a k&n drop in filter
also, blocked off the intake resonator for smoother air flow

I guess it feels more peppy .... no dyno to prove anything though. I can say, it didnt make the car any worse
