Texas Fits, Anything goes thread
I hope someone is up and about that can answer a question..... Will I need a spring compressor to remove and replace the springs on my struts or is there enough length on the threads on the strut shaft that the pressure is relieved as the nut is removed?
I don't think so according to this DIY.

10. Put the 6 mm allen wrench into the end of the top bolt of the shock. This stops the shaft from turning. Use the combination wrench to loosen the bolt on the end while holding the allen wrench. This will be releasing the tension of the spring. Normally, a spring compressor would be used to avoid any danger of the springs tension causing injury as the bolt is removed. The spring is not under very much tension, so a spring compressor is not necessary on this application. For safety, you may want to stand with one foot on the spring as the nut is coming off. You may want the help of a friend on this.
Thank you so much Hootie... I tried to find a thread about it but some how couldn't. Well I am off to the barn to finish what I started last night.. I probably could have figured it out if I had some beer and the neighbor kid that wanted to help me wasn't driving me up the wall.... Thanks again Hootie
It is all together and has a more sporting feel and is just slightly stiffer..... The rake forward has improved traction under acceleration and wet pavement curves tremendously..... Next on my agenda is to install a header.
I think they are all right....They ride a little rough at low speeds over small bumps but soaks them up at higher speed..... They really give the car a dialed in precise feeling and it isn't so low that it scrapes the front lip on everything but it still does require some care not to scrape..... It just feels great though and corners a lot flatter without skittering over bumpy surfaces. If my body wasn't so broken down I could have done the installation in an hour and a half max.
Ok, After a long weekend at the Dallas Auto Show, I'm back at my normal schedule. I tell ya, these kind of shows are tough to keep the kids and adults off my car. The dealer cars are open to the public and as soon as they see mine, they all want to hop inside. What a headache! Anyways, here's a link of my car there.

Damn that thing is sexy. That has to be one of the best interiors I've seen yet. Now with that interior i like your door handles. verses i didn't really like the shiny before. Can't wait to see this thing.
Pssh, I'd never buy those cars :P
