How the scene over there??? a lot of meets??? how the cops??? and do you have car inspection over there???

Not sure about the scene as I have only been "out" with the crowd in Houston, but you can usually find some nice peeps to meet up with any given weekend. Cops are normal, not overly obsessive but they'll call you on some stuff. You might want to google Texas auto laws. Yes we have car inspection, but depending on what county you live in they may be more stringent or lax...although, I'm guessing everything is more relaxed than California. Let me know if you have any more questions.

 

Typically there are about 2-4 meets a year, but this isn't just including the Dallas/Ft. Worth area; this is including the entire state. So far the meets have usually in Houston and Dallas, one was in Austin a year or two ago. As for the cops and emissions, I don't know first hand and haven't gotten the Fit inspected yet, but I do not think that we have smog tests like Cali does.

depending on what part of dfw and how far you want to drive, there are 1-3 meets per week

Theres a couple of car meets in the dfw area, I just posted on couple of weeks ago. Check out the forum that read "Fort Worth fit meet up," I'm trying to get some peeps together.

 

It's 109.2 degrees outside and rising pretty fast... I don't think my car is going to be looking all that great to go to the the Houston meet on 8/6 unless it cools down into the 90s during the daylight hours.... Oh, it's dropped to 108.9.... It's summers like this that makes me wish I had a refrigerated swimming pool or just a plain old cow tank in the shade to sit in.
