Hello all, bought a 2008 fit sport a while back and just realized no spare tire, my question is does it have to be a honda 2008 fit spare? Will other tires fit? For example 1997 civic? Is there somewhere to find the interchange numbers? Thanks

 

I can't answer your question; however, I would suggest that you take advantage of the time the tire is out of the well to see if you have the common hatch water leak. With the spare tire out of the way, you can put some dry paper towels in the well and see if they come out damp after a rain storm. The fix for the leak is quite easy, but the leak and water often go undetected because the water collects underneath the spare tire where it cannot be seen, and eventually corrodes the tire changing hardware and the steel rim itself. Hope you find a spare tire real soon.

 

A friend told me call lkq auto parts and get a price from them, well i did not call i looked on there website and price was $75.00 shipped, so i called my friend back and told him how much and see if he thought the price was okay, he said let me call them, spare tire shipped to my door $45. Will be here in 2 days. Thanks for the tip on the leak, im gonna check, we got rain coming this week,
