This originally started on the Northwest Impreza Club and Nick has told me to get more people out on this drive so I'm informing the local car community of our efforts to get an organized drive together at the end of January between some of the biggest car communities (both domestic and import) around.
When: 9 AM on January 27th 2008 [SUNDAY]
Where: Juanita Beach Park Kirkland

Further registration and information can also be found at The-Winding-Road.com
What to bring: Cash, friends, camera, radios (for communication) - channel 8 privacy code 1, good driving skills (not so much asshattery) , and if you have access to a GPS, bring it!
We're meeting at Juanita beach Park, in Kirkland.
We'll lunch at Spiro's Pizza & Pasta in Shoreline then make our way south to the Arboretum.
The stretch between lunch and the Arboretum is on main city streets, so we'll regroup at Graham Visitors Center parking lot.
We'll finish the drive along the east shore of Lake Washington with our final destination being Seward Park.
We had more than 25 cars show up for this event last year, and had a blast. Invite your friends, and let's push that number higher for 2008.
Since we're trying to extend our reach to all corners of the local car enthusiast community here, we feel it's important that enthusiasts who are interested in a big group drive with many fast, respectable cars, are informed of this event. Last year's was great with many cars as was posted, and all cars are not unwelcome to say the least, Minh showed up to our last meet and his car was very well received and complemented.
Last year's related drives all turned out great with a lot of members, so let's work together and blow this thing out of the water with a much larger number of enthusiasts sporting cars from all walks of life.
Here are some pictures of some of the more notable cars that have attended these sort of events in the past (this is from the Issaquah Falls drive, organized by the same people so expect this kind of turnout), which goes to show that all cars are not only welcome, but are respected and appreciated in the local tuner community. We look forward to seeing you guys there on Sunday and hope that a lot of nice cars show up, since I'm communicating with the BMW/LS1tech members - I'm hoping we can also have a good turnout.
PARTICIPANTS:

We hope to hear positive responses from the members of all the forums we're informing of this event, let's make this a big one and further strive to get the word out about events like these. Respond here if interested, I'll be updating this with information as I receive it - the route is still being planned, estimates as to duration will be posted here as we hear of them.

Oh man, it went great. showed up an hour and a half late so I rushed to the pizza joint, putting me 30 minutes infront of the main group. Met up with some stragglers that got lost.
Since then, getting lost was common and what started with 30 cars turned into 6 at the final stop.
Here is a link to someone that took over a hundred pics. Warning, not 56k friendly and some of the sideways shots hurt my eyes.

Here's a good shot of the group I met up with. That's me closest to the camera, back to it:

It was a sick meet, lots of high powered cars.
