How do people with 5 speed manual transmissions like the dead pedal? Does it get in the way? Does it get used?

I have enjoyed mine on longer drives, it's nice in the city too sitting in traffic.

Just installed my dead pedal, and it's GREAT! Installation was a breeze, and the pedal feels like it's bolted to the floor when I press on it. It's nice having both of my feet at the same angle while I'm driving, keeps the carpet dry and clean, and it looks good doing it!

So of all the things that most reviews have complained about:

- no dead pedal
- no armrest
- no map light

... Zeta has taken care of two of those, and the maplight install I did myself.

Thanks Zeta!! Great product

Thanks for the positive comments. Are you ready for an aluminum dead pedal cover or any matching pedal sets? We are also offering matching CNC billet aluminum door sills.

Dead pedal is just great. My left foot just goes there naturally.

Anyone have any pics of the Shiny (Brushed) dead pedal cover next to Mugen pedals???

I wanna see what it looks like before I order one.

Thanks!

Well, my concerns of it not being solid enough were wrong - this pedal is solid, and the perfect addition to my Fit! Thanks, Zeta!

One comment to anyone installing this in cold climates - no matter how careful you are, it's possible to crack the side panel when it's cold. I've done a lot of panel-pulling in my life, and this one got away from me. Oh, well, it's not really noticeable, but it bugs me nevertheless, since I only have 130 miles on my car!

Well, since no one has any pics, I just bit the bullet and ordered the dead pedal itself.

Will have to decide on the cover at a later date as I don't want to end up with 2 dead pedal covers...

Just have to say that the title to this thread made me laugh. "Drivers side dead pedal" as opposed to what, a passenger side dead pedal? That would be a first.

Angelo,

Are these on backorder or something? I put my order in on Nov 24th and got an email from the company about shipping on the 27th, but ever since then, the order is in 'processing'.

Thanks
Dom

Dom, I ordered mine on November 5th and there is still no sign of it and no communication from Zeta Products when I inquired as to its whereabouts. Hopefully, Angelo can update us on the situation here.

LOL, it would go nicely with the "oh $hit" handle above her window

I sent you a PM. We shipped the pedal on November 7, 2006. On November 16, according to the www.usps.com web site, they attempted delivery. We have not received the package back so it may still be at your post office. We have started an investigation on our end. Please follow up with your post office and provide them with the tracking number I PM'd you.

Angelo,

Found two problems. The posties did not leave a delivery notice on the 16th so I had no idea that they even attempted delivery. I also did not get your email with the tracking info. All is now well as I have now picked up the pedal at the post office. It does indeed seem to be of high quality! Thanks for helping me track it down.
