I have had this kit on my car for the last few months.
My Fit is my daily driver, and I have put about 8,000 miles on the short-shifter kit since it's installation. I also autocross (
California Sports Car Club - Solo - SCCA ), so I got the chance to really put the kit through it's paces with very... purposeful...gear shifts.
When I first tried out the kit, I almost assumed that there was no change at all. It is a subtle change in throw distance, and zero change in throw effort. After I started to drive and go through the gears, getting on the freeway, I could definitely feel the difference in the throw distance.
The throw is shorter than stock, the action is just as smooth, and I haven't had any problems at all.
