Skunk2 Honda Fit Short Shifter Adapter

Skunk2’s innovative engineering has developed a cost effective short shifter solution that rivals all other competitors in performance per dollar. The skunk2 short shifter adapter for the Honda Fit is comprised of cadmium plated steel hardware and is designed to reduce shifting throw by 22%. This is achieved by adding a 17mm adapter to the bottom of the shifter and raising the shifter box to compensate. By maintaining the factory length on the upper portion of the shifter, no additional torque is required to shift between gears.

*OEM assembly and skunk2 shift knob not included.

MSRP $59.85

JHP USA has them available in stock and ready to ship!

hmm, i was really hoping it would be a full shifter replacement (minus housing). I might just hit up Robear and maybe do a writeup on it just for the heck of it.

I have had this kit on my car for the last few months.

My Fit is my daily driver, and I have put about 8,000 miles on the short-shifter kit since it's installation. I also autocross ( California Sports Car Club - Solo - SCCA ), so I got the chance to really put the kit through it's paces with very... purposeful...gear shifts.

When I first tried out the kit, I almost assumed that there was no change at all. It is a subtle change in throw distance, and zero change in throw effort. After I started to drive and go through the gears, getting on the freeway, I could definitely feel the difference in the throw distance.

The throw is shorter than stock, the action is just as smooth, and I haven't had any problems at all.

I wish it was possible to have a skunk dual bend like I had in my ek. I loved that short shifter so much. I also called JHP USA and they did not have the adapter kit.

JHP USA may not have them on their site yet because they were just released. If they don't have them in stock yet they should be receiving some very shortly.

The part number for the Short Shifter Adapter is 628-05-0200

Excellent! thanks for the Info.

I can't order from JHP USA because they don't ship to Canada.

I asked our local authorized Skunk2 dealer to place an order for me yesterday using that part number. At least they had the Skunk2 knob in stock, I got to have some instant gratification

Looking forward to getting it in, thanks again!

how was installation? Do the shifts also feel better as in notchy etc.. Solid? I'm wondering if I should opt for additional metal hard bushings to where the 4 pieces are added..

Yeah, I am interested in metal shifter bushings, but don't know where to find them. Anyone know where I could just get a set of shifter bushings to go along with a short shifter?
