Continuously variable transmission (CVT) greabox problem on Honda Fit 2006 1.5S
Hi,
Honda fit 1.5S CVT Gearbox has problem:
Sometimes, when in D (drive) gear, when I fully stop on traffic-lights and pull-off stop-pedal, car should start moving but sometimes "forgets" to drive for 1-3 seconds, during this time if I pull acceleration pedal, car will continue to be like N (neutral) gear, but actually it's in D (drive) gear, and suddenly gear-box hits hardly and car starts moving. what problem can it be? cause?

1. Check fluid!
2. Don't keep driving it that way, it is likely badly slipping the shivs.. (Excess wear)
3. Has it had the latest software recall stuff done?
4. Could be a bad/sticky control solenoid, part is not astronomical, labor might be at the dealer.. Unless its under warranty.

It happens usually to CVT transmission after certain years. Tends to get worst during uphill climbs right. Check fluids.
The worst case scenario is your gears are slipping, which means you need to recondition your GB or have it checked. Happened to me once, cost a fortune.
Let's just hope yours is an easy fix.
