The Official Blackberry Pearl Thread
I think it might even be worse than black... when it's squeaky-clean, it positively GLOWS, but with just a little dust, it just goes flat. I'm hoping I can find some wax that will help the dust off, but not likely here in TX. Too much construction, and too much dry land out west for that to happen.
well, the dealer i got my fit from has this posted:
Brilliance Honda of Crystal Lake
i still think it looks more purple than blue.
edit: ahhh, it won't let me link directly to the fits. if you search for fits then it's about the 5th one down. sorry!

^^ True. I've noticed that when I take pictures of my car it's kinda difficult to get the "purple" to come out. Most if the pic's I snap are very dark blue. But I think that this pic is the one that tells all on what the color really does. It was taken the day after I bought it. (Too bad it's all stock and dirty)

HEMI-Fit,
Check out Rejex for a wax that has good dust-rejection characteristics. Works real fine on my BBP '08.
It's here (and they're in TX):
RejeX®: So Slick, Bugs Can't Stick!

i finally saw a BBP in person and maybe i'm colorblind or something but i SWEAR it looked more purple than blue
extremely gorgeous color though, it was parked right next to a MR and on comparison they just look like 2 entirely different cars. the BBP is very sleek, the MR looks more sporty.
i was heavily considering trading mine in for it

on the other hand, what i like about the BBP is it confuses people what color it is during certain times of the day...haha
Guess I am a little late on this thread, but I am a BBP owner. I find the blue comes out under flourescent lighting. On the rare occasion I find myself at a gas station (gotta love the Fit MPG), overhead flourescent lights at night actually make it look like a completely different car, a fairly bright blue color. During overcast days, or at night, it looks almost black, but in direct sunlight there is no doubt about the rich dark purple base color.
Yeah, the dynamic range of colors on the BBP are making it hard for me to choose a wheel color for mine. I already have the wheels (just had them media blasted), just waiting to figure out what color to powdercoat them...
this color is awesome...i wished i couldve gotten this color...i love the way it looks when its dark out and also in the day time...so many transitional colors of royal blue to dark metallic purple...very nice
