Creaky clutch pedal?
#21
Take up should be smooth and consistent without delay. So it's as you're taking your foot off the clutch you feel a creak. That's been an aging issue with some of my joints LOL
Most likely the nature of your beast. If it can be duplicated the dealer might be interested in hearing. Done the white lithium?

Mine is still creaking. It happens only when I lift up the clutch slowly. It happens the most in reverse and first gear of course.
It's really annoying me. If I had the money my next car would definitily be a european car instead of a honda. So far one of my turn signals got burned out, interior lighting had to get fixed a couple of times and a panel above the right front wheel has mysteriously swollen up as a result it created a gap between the door and the tar of the wheel well, clutch is creaking.
The interior and styling is well below the average european car and fuel consumption is significantly lower than most european cars at the same price. There are almost no parts available for the fit and it just makes me wonder why other cars have much larger communities.

for example the vw polo, seat ibiza or citroen ds3. And you can have a mini for the same price as the fit too.

Came to the forums to see if anyone else was experiencing this; good to see it's expected, though sad that there is no (easy) way to get at it. I also have the 'creaky' feeling on take up (not on release/pushing though.) I sprayed lithium grease around the clevis and springs but there was no effect; I think it's not on the interior side of the firewall. If I have the car for long enough to need a clutch replacement I'll be sure to get lubricant to the pushrod.
Just one of those things you get after 100k miles I guess.

A lot of new cars have plastic clutch pedal arms. The pin for the "plunger rod" that goes to the master cylinder rides in a hole in the arm, BOTH my BMW's do the same thing.. its not unique to Honda, there is a retrofit kit to put a thin teflon bushing around the pin for my BMW's to get rid of the noise.. Maybe there is a similar tactic for the honda?

Sometimes I feel a bit of vibration through the clutch as I'm slowly releasing it for a smooth gear shift.
I haven't noticed a pattern in this occurrence...but it's my first manual and wasn't sure it that's just normal. Didn't seem like a big deal to me.
Is this what you guys mean by "creaking" ?
Mine's a 2013 at 55,000 km (35K miles)
