Paint wheels to match car color?

Paint wheels to match car color?
I have a 2010 Fit Sport and I'm looking to get some new wheels for snow tires so I don't have to swap tires at a shop.
I was curious if anyone has painted their wheels to match their car color? Is it even possible to get enough paint to do that?
Obviously it would be easy for the more basic colors but mine is Blue Sensation Pearl.
This might be a dumb concept - more curious than anything else.

Personally, I would get them powder coated bronze.
It's nearly impossible to paint wheels to perfectly match, so it ends up looking weird. Plus paint will end up peeling eventually. Powder coating is the way to go.

It really depends on how much you want to spend. Any good body shop can take a body panel and paint it to match your existing paint. There's no reason you couldn't pay them to do the same with a set of wheels. But, it's not cheap. When I was pricing this, they were asking 2X the price of the wheels themselves to paint them.

Thanks for the info. That's way too much money! That's bananas.
I wish I could get my car's paint in a spray can instead of a touch up pen/brush. Maybe the end result would be mediocre though. As the other guy said, I would bet powder coating gives you a superior result.
Thanks for responding.

If you plan on doing the cheap route/diy then just buy a wheel spray paint and paint away.
But if you really want to color match you will have to fork out about maybe 600-800.
If you prep right paint can last a really long time. Some people are iffy on powder coating saying it lowers the strength of the wheel.

There are several wheel paint/refurb shops around here. You can get powder with a clearcoat or paint and clear for about $100 per wheel. It will last and look great. I'm cheap and did plastidip. A ton of colors to choose from and easy to do. I have had the dip on for 3 years now, and is ready for a fresh coat. With you having a blue fit I would go with a contrast color instead of a match.

Some wheel designs lend themselves to looking better when color keyed. The honda fit wheels just don't I think. Even if they were just black, doesn't look like they would be in good taste. That's just my opinion obviously. I had a graphite grey Mitsubishi Evo MR and the Mrs came with graphite grey rims and that look was dope. Not all cars can get away with it.
