Accident

So I was in a car accident this morning (Not my fault) and have a quick question. When my insurance assesses the damage to my car, would they know I have a Mugen bumper and Mugen front bumper and will they replace it with genuine parts, or do I have to explain to them it's not a regular base Honda Fit Sport. I bought the car factory with the kit and all the Mugen goodies.

Here is a picture of the damage.
Thanks.

you need to let them know what all it has or they will just do it as stock bumpers.

always good questions to ask before an incident. I know mine covers anything I can provide receipts for. Now the other thing to keep in mind is book value of the car. I just ran a KBB on my car and it's about 4k. It doesn't take much work and some paint for insurance to hit that totalled status. I've had some small, out-of-production parts that have pushed damage estimates incredibly high. Depending on your love level of the car, it is possible to negotiate (before the fact) a custom value for your car. You certainly pay a good amount more but may be worth looking into.

When I was rear-ended, the person at-fault's insurance covered it. Your state may be different if it's a no-fault state. Anyway, they had All-state and the guy doing the inspection did ask me if my Fit badge on the back was aftermarket, so I'd assume he was prepared to cover that.

FYI, he was looking at the wrong year Fit at first, which was why my badge was different than what he was looking at in the parts list. Definitely watch over them like a hawk, but be polite. I opted to take the check and do all the repair work myself.
