Great tint pictures so far everyone.... Looks like the 15% in the back with 30% on the back doors and 60~70% on the front doors is the Ideal way to go for us California guys...... The 5" Tint strip on the fron window is growing on me too

Note - dropped my car off at the detail shop in Newmarket this AM for Ventureshield application. Asked the guy about tinting and he said it was total BS what the tint place in Sudbury told me about the front little windows. There is NO law stating that those are considered part of the windshield. He said that the area is very fiddly to do (tight spot) so that's probably why the other shop tried to get out of doing the windows. So, he is doing my tint there at no charge. At least some people know good customer service!

This is 30% Madico Wincos all the way around. Its claim to fame is very high infrared block, manufacturer says up to 92%. Its not a cermic but it blocks as much or more infrared as one, its a dye and is made by a company in Japan named Lintec, distributed here by Madico. Lifetime warranty on fading, bubbling and etc. Due to the dye, the tint has a slight blueish tint, mostly apparent from inside the car, but sometimes noticeable outside. Light trasmission is stated to be 34% so its not a true 30%. Hope that helps a bit!
Heres a link too to my album and other pics of the car and tint.
I'm going in to complete the paperwork for my 2009 Sport MT in storm metallic tomorrow. I've decided I want to get window tinting and a clear bra. I don't remember the exact numbers. But the dealer charges $700-750 for tinting and clear bra. I can get both done at an outside shop for $400. Any reason not to go with the outside shop?
I would rather have a reputable outside tint shop do my work, since they will certainly have more experience with tint, and not to mention much cheaper.
Thanks for the new 09 tint pics guys, +rep for ya!
AWDTurbo, for your front windshield strip, is the tint bubbling in the center where the dot matrix is?

Nope - no bubbling. When I dropped off the car I spent several minutes talking with the shop owner about whether or not to tint over that section or to cut around it. The tint installer eventually said he was very confident he could make it stick, so I approved doing it.
My big concern had been my Valentine One eventually pulling the tint away from the glass & dots, but I've now moved it over off that section, anyway, so this isn't a problem.
Here's a crappy picture showing the V1 in it's previous location:
And here's a pic of the V1 in it's new location, moved over to the left, over the driver more and so it may be hidden by the sunvisor:
The tint guys didnt want to do the small window! It was a sat & they were getting ready to close. LOL. Front is 50%, the rest limo. I'll try post a better pic later.
