Yesterday drove up and over to Super Autobacs Tokyo Bay as Murakami-San and Kaz from J's Racing were over for a J's Fair and purchased the J's/Seidoya 6 piston front brake kit and their new one-way breather valve. Kaz went and measured up for the breather kit since I'm not utilizing the stock airbox, still haven't installed it and the brake kit should arrive in about 1~1.5 weeks. They just released a new 4 piston kit that uses the stock discs at a lower price, but I wanted the slightly larger discs and 5 extra pistons per front caliper versus just 3.

Hey,

That all sounds very juicy. Make sure to upload some pics when you work on the install.

I work for a Honda dealer in NJ and while all the excitement is for the GK, I do miss my GE. A part of me wishes you could comebine the exterior of the GE with everything else from the GK. Still, the new Fit is nice.

How are you and the family doing? I saw yesterday in the news that a massive storm was headed to Japan?

Hope you guys are doing well!

Having driven a GK, why anyone would want everything else from that car is beyond me.

Please forgive my ignorance and laziness to google it myself, but what is the 1-way breather for?

It relieves pressure on the crankshaft and pistons. They say an improvement in throttle response and overall feel and yesterday took a drive up to Saitama for indoor karting and the car really did feel better, much peppier.

Here is a screenshot from their Facebook page...

I've seen these crank case anit-pressure valves on motorcycles (but without the air filter), Ducati has them fitted stock. The T-ReV valve you installed; is it retrofitted from a bike? Or is this a car part?

My concern is that it is pulling from fresh air when the crank case is under vacuum via the air filter. Even if it is compensated for within the tune; it's still considered a "controlled intake leak". Unless I'm confused on the function of this. Can you explain?

Waiting on some H&R 10mm spacers to still utilize my RE30s. Have some Advan RZs, Volk CE28Ns and CE28CRs (not till January) on order, all16x7+42 to clear the calipers. Recommended size by J's. The REs are 16x6.5+45. Tried ordering another set of REs, but Rays has stopped making sizes smaller than 18". Seems most of their wheels are no longer being made in smaller sizes, definitely all the new models.

This makes me quite sad. Hopefully the new miata will slow this.

Great updates though!

Yeah it sucks, but maybe they are just sick and tired of the copycats.

Is the big brake kit made by J'S Racing? Or is it outsourced to another company and made to their custom specifications?

No new adventures really, went back over to Sodegaura a few months back, but just have been so busy. Hoping I can get out of work for a few days in early December to finally attend another J's track day. They will be at Suzuka (full course) on Dec 3rd and I have missed the last few events because short-staffed at work and had projects going on at the time.

Sorry night time pics, but it is just about midnight here.

TEO, I can't really tell in the dark if the weave is the same, but if it is not, doesn't bother me one bit.

So the stock bonnet I got 6kg and J's has it listed as 6.2kg. Most likely my weight is off as I only have a personal scale and I weighed myself and then while holding the bonnets. Either way, the full carbon is 1kg lighter than the carbon and frp model and 3.5kg lighter than stock. I'm happy with that weight reduction.
uber random question but the gold temp wrap, where did you get it from?!?!
