It's obviously up to you. The Edmunds comparison is the only comparison with the Fit that I have seen that the Fit didn't get first in (again, I don't understand how why they chose the xD did better than the Fit in was acceleration).
They are both great cars and the engines will outlast the universe, but if I was to choose, I would go with the Fit without a doubt (No, I don't currently own one).

The victory was certainly a thin margin. This is the only time the Fit has lost a comparison because for some stupid reason, no other comparison test included the xD. I've searched tons of test's, they've never been paired up otherwise.
They didn't, however, pick the xD on acceleration alone. They also mentioned that it comes with more standard features while still being cheaper. They called it a better overall value.
That said, I am still leaning toward the Fit. The 2009 is also in contention but I kinda like the current styling better.
